This is a new section, we would love to hear from anyone who has a motorhome
or a self built motorhome, who has had good or bad experiences whilst travelling
or who has any good tips or advise. We will publish your emails and letters here.....

With thanks to Gary for your contribution, is it true or just a shaggy dog story!

Whilst travelling I met a couple who told me this story about their trip to France.
They had booked a ferry across to France for a holiday travelling with their caravan.
At the last minute the mother in law asked to join them, there was plenty of space
so off they set. As they were approaching the dock’s they were sorting out the
passport’s only to find out the mother in law hadn’t bought hers along.
After some consultation they decided that she should travel in the toilet of the
caravan, once they were on the ferry she could come out and join them and go back
in the toilet to get off the ferry. Everything went to plan. They enjoyed a good
crossing and when it was time they returned to the caravan and barricaded the
mother in law on the loo. They left the port and after a few miles stopped to let the
mother in law out. To their horror they found she had died. The wife was totally
distraught and they didn’t know what to do. In the distance they saw a restaurant
and decided to go and have a coffee to discuss the options. They pulled in, the wife
beside herself with grief and guilt. After a calming cup of coffee and decisions made
they headed off towards their vehicle only to find it had been stolen. The car and
caravan were never found.
